CO2Fokus
Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: Secure, clean and efficient energy
The CO2Fokus project aimed at harnessing strategies for direct CO2 use in dimethyl ether (DME) production via CO2 hydrogenation. CO2Fokus leveraged the benefits of both chemical and electrochemical systems to establish an industrially optimal proof-of-concept.
The project explored energy-efficient processes for two separate, yet potentially integrated systems: a 3D printed multichannel reactor and a solid oxide fuel cell (for co-electrolysis and reverse operation). Both systems were assessed for industrial environment operational flexibility.
